Finally some good news. Whatโs going to happen in our housing market? Are prices going to go up or down due to whatโs happening right now? I understand how scary it can be right now, I feel it too. But Iโve been doing extensive research so I can bring you the facts.
Diana Olick from CNBC says, and I quote, โMortgage demand from home buyers โshows unexpectedly strong and quick recovery. โThe quick recovery has surprised most forecasters.โ In fact, the experts agree, if you take a look right at the graph right here, youโll see that five out of the six experts are anticipating home price will continue to appreciate in 2020, all of the experts are anticipating an increase in housing prices through 2021 and three of the six are anticipating an increase through 2022. The lack of inventory and low interest rates are what is driving prices to go up.
Zillowโs National June report came out and New Pending Sales are up 24.5% and listings taken are up 19.3%. So, we are seeing improvement month over month. So we are seeing more homes come to the market, which is great for buyers, but even with the increase in homes entering the market, we are still experiencing bidding wars, and homes that are priced appropriately are moving fast, especially homes on the lower end of the spectrum.
