My wife and I were moving up in houses, we sold a home in Greenwood and bought a home in Issaquah, both with Steve Hill and Sandra Brenner. Moving is definitely a difficult process, but Brenner and Hill made the selling and purchasing part of the equation very easy. They gave us helpful and practical advice on what we needed to do to spruce up the ‘old’ house and helped us negotiate a few difficult issues with the ‘new’ house. We got the new house for about 5% less than the asking price and with the old house we received about 9% over our asking price, in short we came out looking pretty good in the deal. We had some tight time constraints with money that we had borrowed and needed to sell the ‘old’ house fairly quickly. It sold the first weekend and was completely closed in a just a few weeks. We are happily set in our new house and would recommend Brenner and Hill to everyone.
Four-year addendum: still very happy with the “new” home. I liked working with Steve and Sandra so much I enlisted them again when I was tasked with selling my parents long-time home after both of them passed away. It was an older house that needed a lot of work. Steve and Sandra pointed out where our money and time would be best spent to get the house into selling condition.
By my calculation we spent about $50,000 in repairs and fix-ups and the results was a price $250,000 higher than the estimate of the house. A 5 to 1 return on your investment is pretty good deal!
Despite the older house having a lot of “issues” we had a well qualified buyer offer well over asking price in just a few days, and had final closing and money in the bank in less than a month.
Steve and Sandra are a well qualified team that makes the nightmare process of selling a house as easy as it could possibly be.

Choosing a real estate agent to sell your largest investment obviously is a huge decision. Along with the financial aspect of selling a home is the emotional attachment that comes from living in your home for years and the personality of yourselves and the agent whom you will share a lot of information and time with. For my husband and I, it was particularly hard as penny pinchers, a hot real estate market (should we just sell it ourselves, should we let the “neighborhood specialist” who was also a lot cheaper sell it, and knowing we would be high maintenance as client for whoever we chose to work with – our personality styles with a lot of concerns/questions and being very detailed oriented), picking a good fit was going to be particularly hard. We knew we needed someone who would be very accessible.
I did a lot of research online in regard to how to choose a great realtor, and I did my own research on realtors who had a very active presence in the local real estate market. How I landed on Sandra Brenner I do not remember as it was years ago. I don’t remember when we first started working with Sandra and her work partner Steve Hill, but I would guess 2 – 3 years ago. Truly, it was one of the best decisions we have made! Particularly knowing now what we did not know then. We ended up getting Covid, the house was on the market, we changed our minds at the last minute where we were going to retire, AND a parent was put on hospice, we ended up taking the home off the market within days of putting it on the market. They gave us such grace! This was important to us, but truly what made them exceptional real estate agents is a gazillion other things.
It’s hard to remember all the things that they did for us – things we could see and many things behind the scene that we could not see. I would do this review an injustice if I tried to detail all the things that they did as there were too many and my memory is not great. What I can say is they are VERY THOROUGH, very professional, very accessible, no question was too small, had a huge network of other professionals to call on when needed for all the process of marketing and preparing the home for sale. It was apparent that this was not their job, but their life! I think both eat, sleep, and drink real estate!!! They helped in EVERY aspect of selling the home. The information they provided was priceless. The professionals we used were just as awesome. We felt that Sandra and Steve had our best interest at heart every step of the way. They did a lot of hand holding for me as I had mixed feelings leaving a home of 30 plus years where my kids were raised. They were just as concerned with us getting the home of our dreams in our new state, which we really appreciated their thoughtfulness.
When we put our home on the market a second time with Sandra and Steve about a year later, it sold for over the asking price, had 3 offers, and sold within a week. We could move on with our lives and not have to wait for the home to sell. The interest rates had raised, and the real estate market had cooled off. We could not have been happier with the help we got every single step of the way. We are very grateful we chose them. I know you will be happy you chose them. They will not disappoint you from home preparation, to marketing, to selling, to transferring ownership; they really know their business!

I used Steve at the recommendation of a friend. He was great all the way through including helping with arranging some repairs prior to selling. He had referrals for me including repairs, new carpet and the staging. All worked out awesome. My wife and I were moving up in houses, we sold a home in Greenwood and bought a home in Issaquah, both with Steve Hill and Sandra Brenner. Moving is definitely a difficult process, but Brenner and Hill made the selling and purchasing part of the equation very easy. They gave up helpful and practical advice on what we needed to do to spruce up the ‘old’ house and helped us negotiate a few difficult issues with the ‘new’ house. The procedure we followed was to do a walk through with the agents and the staging person, each of whom helped me build a project plan. Their input was invaluable in deciding, for example that we could keep the carpets but needed to paint the walls, and even suggested a good color to use. They provided emotional support through the exhausting process of getting the house ready.The fact that they are a team of two means lots of open houses. Ultimately I got a fair price for the house.
