Due to the holidays last week’s housing numbers were pretty low in NW Seattle. That is typical to this time of year. We do however see Buyers out there especially with the interest rates as low as they are.

Hey, everybody, welcome to week 43 of our “Monday Market Update”, and happy new year. We are all so excited to have 2020 behind us. And so to start off the new year right, we have our upcoming virtual home selling seminar which will be on Zoom.

But hey, so Steve, what has happened in our last week of 2020 in real estate?

Thank God, 2020s over, right? We had a slow week obviously because of the holidays. So last week in Northwest Seattle there were a total of 95 homes for sale. There were 18 new listings that came on, 16 of those were vacant and four of those had review dates. So not many homes are having review dates any longer. Pending sales. Homes that went pending, 16, went pending with 46 days average on the market. Homes that went pending inspection, four homes with an average market time of 32 days. And homes that sold, 23 homes sold last week in Northwest Seattle with an average market time of 28 days. And average price per square foot jumped up a bit to $525 a square foot.

Yeah, I was actually surprised that we had that many homes come on the market. I mean, there were a couple of homes that came on on the 31st, which I thought that was, I dunno, I was kind of humored by that. But, I bet people were out looking at homes this weekend. I mean, George, our buyer’s agent, he was out showing homes this weekend. So buyers are out there, interest rates are phenomenal, so I think we’re gonna have another great year in real estate.
