One step into the living room/dining room with its wall of sun-welcoming west windows, high ceilings and wood burning fireplace and you’ll know you found your home. The kitchen has been refreshed with quartz countertops and white subway tile backsplash for a timeless look that reflects the era of the home.

Take the stately fir staircase, etched with character, to the upper level to find three spacious bedrooms with large walk-in closets, and 4th bedroom or office. A roomy full bath with large skylight services this level.

The lower level offers endless possibilities. Approximately 1/3 of the basement is finished with a great craft room and a large TV or playroom. What will you do with the other 2/3rds? Expansive shop area, ADU, massive media room?

From the Seller:

What We love about our home

Built in 1921 by a farmer, it’s a large old home, incredibly well-built and sturdy.

Graciousness! Coming in the front door feels airy and welcoming. The many windows, tall ceilings, clear fir picture molding, wide hallways, huge basement, large bedrooms and closets give this home a rare graciousness.

This home accommodated our ever-changing needs of shared bedrooms, a nursery, guest rooms and home offices.

Here are some of our favorite memories:

Hosting the annual neighborhood New Year’s celebration with some playing in the basement and the others enjoying champagne and potluck dinner. Everyone relaxing knowing they’d just walk home.

Sitting around the dining room table with our foreign exchange students sharing food and stories about their native countries.

Playing soccer in the side yard or trampolining in the back yard.

We had the comfort of knowing we could easily find just the right suitcase or the beach toys box on the expansive basement shelves.

Cozy evenings playing board games. Making sure the dog didn’t get the best spot in front of the fireplace.

Nibbling on cherry tomatoes from the garden and apples from the trees while we barbecued dinner on the grill.

The wonderful neighborhood community – block parties, Super Bowl parties, carpooling to swim lessons, sharing nannies.

Visiting with neighbors as they walked by with their dogs on summer evenings.

Enjoying the peek-a-boo views of the Cascades and Olympics from the second story.

Walking down to Carkeek Park on Thanksgiving to see the salmon run.
