๐ฅItโs not a yolk โ one of the best breakfast places in Ballard is The Egg & Us. We recently had a wonderful meal ๐ณ at this Ballard institution, located just a couple blocks north of the Ship Canal on 14th Ave NW. They feature egg-ceptional specialties like Swedish pancakes ๐ฅ and French toast. The menu ranges from everything egg to ๐ hearty burgers, specialty ๐ฅช sandwiches, ๐ฅ salads, egg-cetera. Sandra had an amazing veggie scramble, and Steve ordered the Swedish pancake with Lingenberry sauce plus scrambled eggs and bacon.
First inhabited by the Shilshole or โLake Peopleโ Ballard was homesteaded by Scandinavian immigrants beginning in 1852. Once a city in its own right, Ballard was annexed by Seattle in 1906. Today sightseers visit the Hiram Chittenden Locks on the Ship Canal to watch salmon begin their spawning journey or they tour historic Ballard Avenue. Ballardโs increasingly diverse residents enjoy the districtโs small town pace and easy access to downtown.
We are both looking forward to our next outing there. If you havenโt tried them yet, we encourage you to check them out. They have a large and diverse menu which should tempt family members and friends of all ages. The staff is warm and friendly. They truly make you feel like family!
The Egg & Us is located at ๐4609 14th Ave NW Ste 108, Seattle, WA 98107. Open Monday through Sunday 7:00AM to 9:00PM, they have indoor and outdoor dining plus to-go and delivery. Visit https://theeggandus.com/locations/ballard to check out their tasty menu!

โ So we are at
โ Egg & Us.
โ Egg & Us. And I have the amazing Veggie Scramble, which looks absolutely amazing. And this is kind of diet, Ish. Diet-ish. Diet safe. Diet safe. I have the Swedish pancakes with lingonberries.
โ No devonshire cream.
โ No devonshire cream. This is just scrambled eggs and two slices of bacon.
โ And this is just the cutest little atmosphere. And I donโt know if you know this, but they actually own several restaurants in the area. So the one that Iโve been to and love, because they have a great kind of Mediterranean feel, is Peteโs Eggnest.
โ Okay. Yeah.
โ On Greenwood. And then of course Chanterelle in Edmonds. Theyโre also a great breakfast place. And then they have 2 other locations in Issaquah. Who knew?
โ You knew.
โ Because I went online and looked.
โ Cause sheโs a smart lady. Thatโs why I work with her.
โ But anyhow, you should definitely come down and check it out. Iโm not saying theyโre the best breakfast place in Ballard, but Iโm not, not saying that.
โ Right. I think theyโre pretty good.
