Housing Options When Downsizing
THURSDAY March 25th, 5:30PM-6:30PM
Downsizing is a process and there are many decisions that need to be made along the way. One of the decisions that should be made early in the process is what and where will you be downsizing to? Will you be staying local or moving out of the area? Is a condominium the right choice? What about 55 and older communities?
In this interactive workshop we will cover our local housing options and try and get all of your questions answered. Like all of our workshops, this will be held socially distanced on Zoom.
To sign up click here or contact Sandra at 206-271-7100 or sbrenner@windermere.com. We look forward to seeing you!

Medicare 101
WEDNESDAY March 31st, 5:30PM-7:00PM

If these questions sound familiar, mark your calendar for March 31st for our Medicare 101 Workshop.ย Brandy Corujo of Cornerstone Insurance Group specializes in Medicare and will lead us through a workshop that will answer all your basic questions about Medicare A, B, C and D. Likeย โWhen does it make sense to enroll in Medicare?โ and โAre there times when itโs appropriate to delay Medicare enrollment?โ She will also be covering, what to know if you still have coverage through an employer group plan and how to determine what type of plan is going to best fit your needs.ย

Adoptable Pets at the Seattle Animal Shelter

Meet Ernest!
Ernest is a handsome boy ready to find his new home. He can be a little nervous initially so it may take him some time to adjust to his new home. He has shown to warm up quickly though!
Ernest loves to play with squeaky toys and enjoys his walks. He would love a fenced yard to romp around in but not required. An apartment home may be OK as long as he is provided the exercise and play he needs as a young dog. He may also do OK with another dog or cat pending a slow introduction. Due to his size and play-style we are recommending children be older/teens. Ernest arrived to the shelter as a stray so we are unsure of his background but he has been a sweet boy overall and his personality will show more and more as he warms up to his new home!
Ernest already knows sit, down and shake and canโt wait to learn more! He loves his treats (and food in general) and enjoys filled Kongs and other enrichment items containing yummy food! Ernest is currently hanging out at the shelter while waiting for a foster home.

Meet Klarence!
Klarence is a very good looking, tall, handsome blue eyed 10 year old cat. He is looking for a home where he will be the only pet. He likes quiet peaceful environments, but is actually hard at hearing.
His favorite hobby is to nap and has the cutest snore ever. Heย appreciates being awakened softly, by tapping softly close to where he sleeps, otherwise he startles. To get your attention he will roll over, show you his belly, and purr loudly to show you his appreciation. He loves to snuggle next to his favorite humans, and to have head and neck scratches.
Klarence needs eye drops once a day. They are not his favorite but he loves treats, so he behaves well when he needs to have his drops and he gets treats before and after! Best part of the day! He has good litter box manners, but needs a big one because of his generous size.

Meet Pipsqueak!
Pipsqueak is a young (apx. 3-4 months) guy and has been on his own for too long! Heโs a little bit anxious and shy but is getting used to humans and petting. Heโs mostly quiet unless he hears you walk by and wants food! His foster mom lets him sit with her but heโd really like a fella of his own species to hang with all the time! Another young male or similar age male guinea pig for a buddy, mentor and partner!
Pipsqueak loves kale, lettuce, bell peppers, parsley, vitamin C cookies, and a safe place to hide and spy on the room!
Pipsqueak doesnโt like: Water bottles (he prefers a bowl) and being picked up. But heโs fine once heโs snuggled into your lap blanket!

Meet Kit Kat!
Kit Kat is a curious, alert, attentive, young dog ready to experience each day to the fullest! In the morning, she enjoys a good stretch and thumping her tail, before going out for a walk. During the day, she loves to spend as much time near you as possible. If youโre willing to play with her, even better. She loves to play fetch and with squeaky toys, or a good chewy bone can keep her busy for a while. When she tires, sheโll take a good nap before sheโs ready for more action! Her foster family has occasionally left her home alone between 2-8 hours and itโs gone well, but if you work outside the home be aware that sheโll be eager for lots of attention when you come back. Sheโs good in her crate at night and in the car when she goes for rides.
Kit Kat is looking for a family interested in training her to be all that she can be. She needs an adult-only home where sheโs the only kid around โ animal or human โ (but who could want more?). Given that other dogs arenโt her thing, sheโd prefer a home with its own entrance, no apartment buildings please. A bonus would be a safely fenced yard where she can run and run to her heartโs content!
She has a heart of gold and eyes to match!
