January Pet of the Month
Happy January! Happy New Year! Our “Pet of the Month” series showcases an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter each month. This month we are proud to present: Malakai! Check out our video about him on facebook!Malakai was the name of an ancient prophet and this Malakai does have a soulful spirit. He will thrive in a dog savvy home familiar with his unique breed (Siberian Husky). Malakai is very curious, athletic and absolutely handsome. He is exuberant, free-spirited and likes being on the go. He is friendly, independent and smart. Malakai will flourish in a home that will give him lots of outdoor exercise and playtime. He would be an ideal companion for long walks, running or hiking. He would prefer being your only pet. He shouldn’t go to a home with any small critters such as hamsters or bunnies.
While visiting Makakai, he was very energetic and enjoyed playing with a toy given to him by the shelter and enjoyed some tasty treats! We know that the right owner will come in for him and take him on adventures with them. He would definitely enjoy an active lifestyle!
Right now the shelter has about 17 cats available for adoption and around 9 dogs (not including those in foster). If you are interested in adding a new member to the family, check out Seattle Animal Shelter first! All of their currently available pets are on their website at seattle.gov/animal-shelter/find-an-animal/adopt
If you’re not looking for a new pet, but do want to help the shelter in 2020, visit seattleanimalshelterfoundation.org/how-to-help/ to learn all the ways you can contribute. They can always use the extra help!
