Welcome to Innis Arden. This desirable community is known for its endless views and amenities such as the club house, tennis courts, swimming pool and miles of walking trails throughout the reserve. You will appreciate the desirable location of this home. Sitting next to one of the reserves on a dead end street, the home enjoys an uncommon, high level of privacy. You will also enjoy that the club house, pool, and tennis courts are walking distance from the home.
There are lots of features to love about this home. However, what we think you’ll notice first is how comfortable the home feels. Inside you are greeted by warm hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows. Natural light and views of the backyard and reserve give the home a welcoming, cheery feel that you and your guests will never get tired of.
The chef in the home will appreciate the updated kitchen with plenty storage and counter space. A convenient bill paying area is perfect for working from home or helping kids with homework. As an added bonus, everyone will love the intimate family room which is perfectly positioned just off of the kitchen.
You will absolutely love the spacious lower level. There is a guest bedroom, a large bonus room for a dedicated hobby or workout room, and a large family room that will easily accommodate a TV area and a game table area.
From the Seller
The private, fully fenced backyard is a gardener’s delight. Mature landscaping brings an abundance of color in the spring and summer. There are fruit trees and berries, an herb garden and raised beds to grow vegetables. Lots of windows and skylights bring an abundance of natural light. Great neighbors! Annual block party for the past 16 years alternating between the ends of 186th Street.
The house is situated at the end of a quiet street with direct access to the Innis Arden walking trails. Richmond Beach Saltwater Park is just a quick walk or bike ride away or enjoy the private Boeing Creek Trail down to the beach at low tide. With a home just blocks from the Innis Arden pool and clubhouse, enjoy easy access to community tennis courts, recreation in the park and playground, and swimming in the beautiful outdoor pool.
Innis Arden is a highly connected community. Homeowner’s gather many times each year for social events, including an Easter egg hunt, wine tasting, holiday party, and salmon BBQ. The annual rummage sale is locally famous and has been bringing the neighbors together for decades. The swim program is probably the biggest draw with well over 100 people of all age levels participating. The activities committee has also set up a successful tennis program for all ages.
A little about Innis Arden
Innis Arden is bordered by Puget Sound to the west; Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, then Northwest 190th Street, then Northwest Richmond Beach Road to the north; Eighth Avenue Northwest to the east; and Boeing Creek to the south.
Innis Arden sits quietly on a hill overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Building restrictions and protected views have kept this heavily residential, family- and community-oriented neighborhood and its 500-plus homes much as it has been since its initial construction.
Innis Arden has miles of walking trails winding through nature preserves and private beaches. Nearby Boeing Creek and Shoreview parks provide a combined 88 acres of trails, picnic areas, creeks and small waterfalls. The land where Innis Arden sits today was once owned by William and Bertha Boeing, who subdivided the land in the 1940s and sold the properties.
